The gaming industry appears to have a new player coming in as tech giant Amazon is reportedly on the works to release a cloud gaming service called the ‘Project Tempo’.
First reported by New York Times, the company is planning to launch the initial prototype this year to respond against the industry’s known cloud gaming services against Google’s Stadia and Nvidia’s GeForce.
“It was very clear to everyone that people, customers, love video games. It was so obviously important to customers that we need to be doing something,” said Mike Frazzini, Vice President of Amazon’s gaming.
This is obviously the respond of Amazon to the call of more gaming experience for people who are currently staying at home to combat the spread of the global pandemic Coronavirus.
Ironically though, the release date has something to do with the development of the fight against the said virus and they hope to roll out the service soon.
